Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can you tell me more about the metals you use. Are they ethically sourced and hypoallergenic?

We work with high-quality precious metals chosen for both beauty and integrity. Our gold is either Fairmined or recycled, and we favor higher karats (18k–24k) for their rich color and purity. Our silver is Argentium 94%-93.5% or sterling 92.5%, both recycled and hypoallergenic. Customers with sensitive skin find these high-karat golds and our silver options comfortable to wear. If you have specific concerns, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.

For your silver jewelry, you often use Argentium silver. What is Argentium silver and how is it different from sterling silver?

Argentium silver is a modern version of sterling silver with a brighter color and excellent tarnish resistance—meaning it stays beautiful with less upkeep. We also love it in the studio because it allows us to fuse metals together, creating strong, lasting bonds and unique designs. For pieces with a darker, oxidized finish, we may use traditional sterling silver instead. All of our silver is made from certified recycled sources.

What gemstones do you use? Are they ethically sourced?

Each stone is chosen for its beauty and its story, including its history. We use a mix of traceable, ethically sourced, and recycled stones—including diamonds, colored gemstones, and distinctive materials like turquoise, jaspers, and agates.
Many of our stones come from trusted suppliers, and we also love sourcing small, special finds directly from miners. Because of this, many pieces are one of a kind or part of a limited collection.

What is your warranty?

We stand behind our work. Each piece is carefully handmade, and we offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
For full details, please see our Terms & Conditions.

Can you use my heirloom gold or gemstones?

We understand how meaningful heirloom materials can be. At this time, we don’t work with customer-provided gold or stones due to technical limitations and the risk involved.
If you’re exploring ways to repurpose or sell heirloom pieces, we’re happy to suggest options that may help you move forward with your project. Reach out to us at concierge@donnaweaverdesign.com.

Do you offer custom or commissioned pieces?

We don’t typically take on custom commissions, but we occasionally offer variations on existing designs.
You’re welcome to reach out at concierge@donnaweaverdesign to inquire.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we ship within the United States only.

What’s the difference between “Ready to Ship” and “Made to Order”?

Ready to Ship pieces are finished (or nearly finished) and typically ship within 1–3 business days.
Made to Order pieces are created just for you and usually ship within 3–4 weeks.

Will I receive the exact piece shown?

Each stone is unique. There may be slight variations in color or pattern—we see this as part of their natural beauty.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Fine jewelry can last a lifetime with thoughtful care. For detailed guidance, please visit our Jewelry Care page.

Is your jewelry suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, the high purity levels of the high karat precious metals we use are hypoallergenic.

Is this a good gift? Do you offer gift packaging?

All pieces arrive beautifully packaged and ready for gifting.

Can I return or exchange my purchase?

We want you to feel confident in your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we accept returns on eligible items within 5 days of delivery.
Please contact us first to request a return authorization before sending anything back. Items must be unworn and returned in their original condition with packaging and receipt.
Once your return is received and approved, a refund will be issued to your original form of payment, minus a small restocking fee and original shipping charges.
If you’d like to exchange your piece for a different piece, please contact us.
Please note that made-to-order and sale items are final sale.
For full details, please see our Terms & Conditions.

If a piece listed as Ready to Ship is already sold, will it be re-stocked?
