The Iquira Agro-Mineral Cooperative in Columbia produces both coffee and minerals, particularly gold and silver.

Mercury-free: No mercury is used at Iquira. “We don’t want our families, our neighbors and their children to be harmed by contamination,” says the Iquira general manager. “We seek 100% decontamination.”

Environmental protection: As part of the incentive and reward for achieving Fairmined certification, the Iquira Cooperative obtains access to legal world markets and receives a small premium over the internationally set spot price of gold. This premium helps to pay for safety upgrades, worker training and safety, fair wages, environmental remediation.

Community investment:  The community decides on social investments such as schools and medical clinics. A portion of the Fairmined premium is devoted to these social improvements each year.

Transparency: Annual reports detail the Cooperative’s uses of the Fairmined premium.

World Recognition: Gold from Iquira has been used to create the Nobel Peace Prize and the Palm of Cannes award.

How soon will my order ship?

Fairmined Americas Collection pieces are crafted to order and generally ship in 3-4 weeks. By choosing quality made-to-order jewels, you are supporting ethical sourcing, fine craftsmanship and securing a unique and memorable piece for your collection.

How much does shipping cost?

We are pleased to offer FREE SHIPPING WITH INSURANCE on all orders over $150  via USPS Priority Shipping.  All orders ship from our studio in Santa Monica, California.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we ship to the United States only.  Sorry, we do not offer international shipping at this time.

Do you accept returns?
